Fitbit Virtual Try On
Augmented Reality In-Store Experience
We were contracted by Helios Interactive to build an Augmented Reality experience that places the fitbit tracker of your choice on your wrist after scanning a QR code.
The Result
TBD Content here.
During the onset of the pandemic economy fitness tracker giant Fitbit needed a safe way to allow customers to view and experience products in store with a lower touch/risk protocol.
We were contracted by Helios Interactive to build a browser based interactive that leveraged AR to place the fitbit tracker of your choice on your wrist. Users scan a QR code to load the website (no app download), select a device, and enable a live camera feed to view the device on their wrist in real time. Additional product information and videos are available, and users can capture an image of the device as a takeaway.
A second version forgoes wrist/hand detection for a floating sticker approach that was more responsive in very low bandwidth stores.
The web app allows users to have a highly engaging try on experience that does not cannibalize retail sales. It has since been deployed to hundreds of retail locations and translated into 7 languages.
